Viral ring girl Sydney Thomas celebrates graduating from Alabama (2025)

Viral ring girl Sydney Thomas has graduated from the University of Alabama, she announced on social media less than six months after her rise to fame started on Netflix.

Thomas' first sparked international attention as one of the ring girls during Netflix's coverage of the Mike Tyson versus Jake Paul fight in front of more than 60,000 fans at AT&T Stadium in Arlington, Texas.

Now, Thomas is a college graduate, sharing a roll of photos on her social media.

Multiple photos show Thomas in a white dress around the Tuscaloosa campus, including one with six of her friends.

There are also photos of her in a red dress opening and drinking a bottle of champagne.

'Did it in 3 @univofalabama,' Thomas said on Instagram. 'As I look back and reflect on my college experience, I can’t help but acknowledge how monumental each of these years has been in shaping me into who I am today.'

'From navigating the loss of my mother to the whirlwind of unexpected overnight fame, Alabama has been the one constant through it all - continually welcoming me with open arms and keeping me grounded in who I am. Though my college journey was far from typical, I’ve found such beauty and comfort in the abnormalcy of it all, trusting that everything unfolded in alignment with Gods divine timing.'

'This has been such a beautiful chapter in the story of my life - one I’ll look back on often. And while it’s bittersweet that it’s come to an end a year early, I know that wherever my path leads next, Alabama will always be sweet home to me. Roll Tide, forever & always xo.'

'Beauty queen! Congratulations,' Dunne, the former LSU gymnast, commented.

Thomas has over 2million followers combined on TikTok, X, and Instagram after being a relative unknown before the mega-Netflix fight.Thomas has stayed in the news consistently since the event by creating content on her social-media profiles.

Amid her overnight fame the University ofAlabama student has been inundated with direct messages from admirers.

And during a recent appearance on the 'Like A Farmer Podcast', the 21-year-old revealed she's even received attention from an SEC football coach who slid into her DMs.

While Thomas opted to keep the identity of the coach a mystery, internet sleuths quickly began investigating and whittling down the options.
